In selecting a therapist for yourself or your child, credentials, training, recommendations from your friends or physicians, and licensure are important. Another critical aspect is the goodness of fit between you and your therapist. If you don't feel comfortable, you probably won't share what your concerns may be and are likely to not return for treatment.
